Alison Goldey
Executive Director, Chatham Savannah Land Bank Authority
Greetings to our GALBA community.
2025 was a year of significant progress for the Georgia Association of Land Bank Authorities (GALBA). We assisted in the creation of new land banks, established new committees, organized the state into Land Bank regions, and hosted a successful statewide summit that brought together land banks from across the state of Georgia. This summit strengthened relationships and provided valuable learning opportunities focused on effective strategies, best practices, and successful projects that support housing development and the reuse of vacant and abandoned properties.
With more than 33 land banks operating across Georgia, GALBA remains committed to offering resources, support, and a platform for sharing stories and experiences. Whether well-established or newly formed, every land bank contributes to a collaborative environment that moves us closer to our vision of education, technical assistance, and community outreach.
As we enter 2026, we do so with confidence and renewed determination. We will continue building on a strong foundation while accelerating our collective efforts to transform vacant and abandoned properties into assets that strengthen communities.
Looking ahead, GALBA is positioned for continued growth. This year, we will expand training opportunities, provide best-practice guidance, and develop programs designed to support strategic development and long-term sustainability.
Our progress is made possible through our strong partnerships and the dedication of our members. I am honored to continue serving as your President and look forward to the work we will accomplish together in the coming year.
With gratitude,
Alison Goldey, President
Georgia Association of Land Bank Authorities
